Pick Oranges at La Verne Heritage Park

Enjoy a “Slice of La Verne’s Past” while picking some of the best tasting oranges around at La Verne Heritage Park. The Heritage Foundation offers visitors one of the last working orange groves in the area as a place to enjoy with family, friends and the La Verne community. Bags of oranges are $5, and mesh bags and the picking poles are supplied. The historic Weber house will also be open for public tours from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. This Orange Picking opens Saturdays beginning January 7, 2017, and continuing approximately until the beginning of March. La Verne Fresh Certified Farmers Market is now a reality every Saturday morning in Old Town La Verne at 3rd and D Streets. This Market is unlike others in the past, featuring a full assortment of everything you need fresh each week. La Verne Fresh is the source of the highest quality, seasonal and locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables, and delicious gourmet specialty foods, plants, and flowers. Winter Wonderland in La Verne

Children can enjoy two snow runs, two snow play lands (with real snow!), arts and crafts, a cup of hot cocoa and a doughnut at “Mrs. Claus’ Cozy Kitchen”, and of course visit Santa at the gazebo! Parents be sure to bring your cameras for this wonderful photo opportunity. Kids should dress for snow: mittens, gloves, boots and jackets. Sliding saucers will be provided. There will also be food and refreshments for purchase and craft vendors for early Christmas shopping. Anyone wishing to have a booth should contact the La Verne Community Center at (909) 596-8776.
